From the Desk of Elizabeth Meynardie
Welcome back to a new school year. I would like to take a moment to thank all the teachers
and staff out there who work every day to educate deaf and hard of hearing children around
the country. What you do is important and is deeply appreciated.
In this newsletter, I would like to highlight an important survey from the Clerc Center. We are
collecting nationwide feedback about the use of K-12 ASL Content Standards as a web-based
resource. We want your feedback about whether the ASL Standards are clear, well organized
and relevant. We also want to learn about how you plan to use the ASL Standards. Your
feedback will help finalize the design of the ASL Standards for use as a web-based resource
before dissemination in January 2018. The open comment survey opens on September 13 and
will only be open for two weeks so please take the survey as soon as possible. Please feel free
to share with others. Your feedback is very important to us!
Thank you for participating in this important survey. Your input is vital to our work in
developing and sharing resources that benefit deaf and hard of hearing children around the
nation.
