Members of the Junior NAD represent their chapters as delegates to this biennial national conference where they participate in activities and workshops on governance, leadership, creative writing and photography, as well as off-site trips and more.

The Junior NAD is a coalition of individual chapters all over the nation. As a program of the NAD, the Junior NAD offers deaf and hard of hearing students in 7th through 12th grade many opportunities to develop leadership skills, learn and demonstrate citizenship, and meet and interact with students from other schools and states.
